| I write to express my sincere thanks to Dr
Peter Sumich and staff, for their wonderful work
in giving me perfect natural eyesight. It has
only been 2 months and a few weeks since I have
had the surgery and not a day goes by that I don't
thank you all for the life change you have given
me.
After I was found to be a candidate for the
LASIK procedure, I counted down the days towards
the surgery, and on the day I couldn't wait till
Dr Sumich started the Laser surgery on my eyes.
I could not believe that I was not nervous at
all maybe after seeing all the other patients
going in before me and just coming out in no-time
they all looked fine and in no pain so I just
thought to myself WOW I'm going to be just like
that very soon.
I had not realised just how easy it would be.
My part in the operation was to relax and look
at the red light. It was all over before I knew
it. No stitches, no needles and no pain - my kind
of surgery. There was just a little discomfort
after the Surgery where I couldn't open my eyes
as they started to sting and got a bit itchy but
with a long sleep all the pain disappeared.
The next day I got up so early in the morning
I think with all the excitement and wanted to
test my eyes. I was so amazed as I began to notice
my new vision, even through the clear plastic
shields I wore to protect my eyes. The next day
I returned to see Dr Sumich and have my new eyes
tested. It was a big moment and an emotional experience
to read those little lines on the wall charts
that I could never read before.
I have had my eyes tested twice after the surgery
for checkups and I don't need to go there anymore
as my eyes have improved so quickly that you would
never know I did the surgery.
To have life improve in every aspect of my day,
at the beach to noticing people's expressions,
these are the benefits I'll never take for granted.
There are I thought that there was never a chance
for me to see without my Glasses/Contacts but
the dream came true. Thanks to Dr Sumich and his
team - I can't thank them enough.
Thank you.

Ever since I got glasses in June 1999
I always had in the back of my mind that I would
like to see one day if I could have laser eye
surgery done. I just could not bring myself to
get the hang of poking my finger in my eye to
put contacts in. At the end of 2004 after my second
or third review for glasses, Dr Thomson said that
I was a suitable candidate for laser eye surgery.
I asked him about the procedure and we went through
the risks associated with the surgery. I went
away and thought about it. I read the brochure
from cover to cover and watched the video about
the procedure and considered all the possible
risks involved and I decided "Yes - I'll
go ahead with it."
I am very glad and happy that I had the surgery
as my life since then seems much more open and
free. By that I mean I don't have to worry about
wearing glasses and putting them on and taking
them off - I no longer have that blurriness of
vision that you get after you take your glasses
off and you are trying to see someone across the
room at night or in the morning or in the pool
or at the beach, I don't have to worry when I
kiss people who wear glasses that we're going
to smash, I don't get that feeling anymore of
being unbalanced when I go up and down the stairs
and I no longer have to worry when I go out that
I can't put my contacts in and get them out.
Some people have said that my eyes were hidden
behind the glasses and some people were kind enough
to say that saw beyond the glasses anyway but
I know I feel more confident and relaxed now that
I can see everything around me.
